Buddy of mine has an E4300 and a docking station with dual monitors. Lately everytime he docks he has to resetup his dual monitor display. I have the same notebook and I dont have to do this with my dual monitor setup. What could be causeing this? The only thing I am thinking is maybe he is docking while its turned on or maybe he needs a newer video driver? The old dells had a docking profile but the newer ones dont.

You might want to update BIOS and then the video card drivers. I haven't heard of any design flaws like this, but it is possible.
