    Hi,
I have found solution how to change level of backlighting in windows 7.
I am running win 7 build 7264 and last drivers for ALS and DCP.
So when are you booting your notebook press Fn button and keep pressing arrow up and down ... couple times no rush . The level of light will be changing ... when you will get login form or enter OS you do not have to press buttons any more. Than adjusting level of light will be working .... and ALS senzor as well. Yes and all application related to ALS and DCP are running in compatibility mode for win VISTA .... I have wista drivers for ALS and DCP downloaded.
It works for me ... :)

It always worked with ALS on. You don't have to do anything during boot-up.
