can someone who has the E4200 and the intel wifi 5300 card check something for me ?

I'd like to know if all 3 points on the Half PCIe 5300 Card are wired of if only 2 of the points (left and right but not center)

    thanks in advance

bugger - Long story short - we ordered some without wifi (our mistake) have added the 5300 cards but could only find 2 cables free... could you post a picture as i would like to figure out the routing of the central connector on the mini card

you probably only have two wires. Unless you order 5300 in the first place, Dell sometimes sell them with only two wires (for other cards that only need 2 antennas)

Got it figured out - on yours the grey cable (middle port) is connected to the card leaving a free connector slot just underneath it on the card with lots of cable connections (probably has a real name :) ) , on mine, the grey cable is connected to that connector - don't know if that makes any sense - but will post a photo showing the differences :)

I should be able to unhook the middle grey cable and connect it to the card -

    Thanks, your a star.

Here are the Photos that might make it a little clearer,

The first one show the intel 5300 with 2 antenna connected - left and right cables - these where simple to find.

The second image show how the middle (grey) antenna should connect - as you can see it needs to be disconnected from the central board and connected to the middle connector of the 5300
