Price regardles....I'm leaning on a 14.1" rig. Don't care about the video card on either.

Is the build/chassis the same on both machines or is the build quality on the Precision better.

Dunno but I tend to like the brushed black on the E series. Yet to see how the cover is on the M series...

Precision M has a better video card. Since you don't care, stick with the Latitude E.

Agree with the dragonball man. If you like the brushed metal back then go with the E

Wonder if they let you "downgrade" the looks if you get a Precision? ie. get the black latitude back with the Precision? I doubt they'd let you go the other way around though. Two purposes: It looks arguably better and if you wouldn't stand out of the crowd as much. Sure it's nice to show off, but I like my laptop to look as unassuming as possible. Less people want to steal a cheap notebook, or one that looks like it. Maybe an after market shopping spree at the Dell parts store? :)

Yes, since you don't care with the gfx card, go with the Latitude E. It even looks sleeker!

If you don't need a dedicated GPU then get the integrated Intel X4500. It seems to be very power efficient.

I have to look up the specs on the X4500. When I dock, I will be docking to dual 27" 1900x1200 Eizo displays.
