Dvd burn problem

i am using Dell latitude D 520 ,i have problem with my DVD writer ,when i use new dvd to burn a data dvd ,burn process started successfully then after completing around 80 to 90% it failed then dvd ejected whole dvd wasted . please help me

 

Try a different brand of disc. Each model of burner has its favourite media. Also, can you burn a CD OK? If that gives problems then maybe the burner has a problem. How old is it?

Somehow I don't think that will help solve the problem lol!!

Ahem! Back to the issue, you might try to use a different burning program. Maybe try lowering the burn speed too, as it can fail due to buffer underrun, although I'm sure they solved the buffer problems ages ago. Does it fail with an error message? That might be helpful. Often there are logs on how the failure occurred.
