Does the latitude E6400 have a glossy screen?

    because if it does id probably but it...and im glad it has no trackball!

    trackball? is this 1992?

    And as a professional machine it only comes with a matte screen.

    err, trackpointer little eraser thing. does the matte screen detract from the quality?

    My WXGA+ LED backlit display is matte, but I think it is better than any glossy screen I have used.

    If you are used to a matte screen then have to use a glossy one you quickly realise how annying any reflections get. That happened to me last year when I had to send a notebook for repair.

    its pretty tempting, im kinda mad because i just missed a 20% off coupon, which totally sucks for me. man...im seriously considering matte now. id choose the lenovo t400 if there wasnt a little eraser head thing.

    I would add that the E6400 does have a trackpoint. However, I always use the touchpad and the trackpoint never causes me problems (it is possible to disable it).

    There have been some very good deals on the E6400 at Dell Outlet. it's worth looking there first for something suitable. Most people find the Outlet notebooks to be as good as new.
