Does any SATA 2.5" drive work with the M4600?

    Yes, that should work fine. I have the 1TB version of that same drive in my M4800. I really cannot think of any reason that it would not work in your machine. Id say pull the trigger and get it. That said, the Firecuda is an excellent drive. Very fast for a SSHD.

    Thank you! I am planning to use this laptop to tether from my A7Rii during a convention where I will be doing headshots so wanted a bigger drive for it.
    This laptop is the best $130 deal I have found in a LONG time with all the pluses I got with it. :D

    BTW, I thought about getting the 3TB but it seems that one is 15mm instead of 7mm . Any idea if 7mm is the limit for our system?

    PS looks like 9.5mm is the biggest we can fit so I will just get the 2TB then

    You can fit a 9.5mm tall drive. Larger drives will not fit. (Believe me, I tried :p)
    The largest drive you can get in this size is 2 TB. (There are actually 4 TB SSDs available from Samsung... You could buy a pretty nice laptop for how much those drives cost though.)
