    Hi pals,

I am going to buy a M6600 - refurbished or old one. I need a good display for it.

From dell specification, this model has only 3 displays:
    • 17.3" HD+(1600x900) UltraSharp™ display: anti-glare, LED-backlit
    • 17.3" FHD(1920x1080) UltraSharp™ multi-touch display: LED-backlit, supports stylus / four finger simultaneous touch
    • 17.3" FHD(1920x1080) UltraSharp™ display: wide view, anti-glare, LED-backlit

1 question: Nothing is mentioned for IPS display???

2 question: Is there are easy way for the seller to tell me whether display is IPS or not, CM/LG/AUO? (hwinfo is harder way:)

3 question: Any information for each display model for PWM. Its persistence directly affects our health :)

4 question: What the hell does mean UltraSharp? I suppose it is just a trading-mark with absolutely no technical coverage?

1 It should mention something about RGB LED and/or ultra wide view angle if it is IPS.

    2. Brand of screen is luck of draw and almost no way to tell, unless the seller is willing to pull a hwinfo. Dell will replace LG screens (flickers at low brightness, but the spec is better iirc) if the warranty is valid.

    3. it is the same as all other laptop screen, not sure ~~

    4. Branding, it was supposedly mean the higher end line of dell monitors.
