I have a Vostro 1500 laptop. For some time now, my disk drive is not being detected or recognized. I've tried the Microsoft fixit and filter removals in the registry...but still no luck....only thing that shows up when you click on Computer are the C & D drives. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Do you see it in the BIOS ?

    If so -

Do you see it in the Control Panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management

Does your drive is a secondary or third HD?
D you have your OS in "C:"?

If I'm right, you need activate your HD "in someway". Sorry for the " " but I dont remeber what I did when I installed my second HD. But I remeber that my computer didnt recognize it at first and had to do something.
