If thats the case we need a video on how to change your LED light, turn on your computer, type numbers, take screenshots. Might as well give a video on how to be intuitive and experiment with computers as well.

that is hilarious. I think we should make how to videos for their techs. I got my E6400 nearly a month ago. I ordered two. On one of them the backlit keyboard was not working. The onscreen indicator bar would show up as I turned it on and off, but nothing would actually light up. I called up dell tech support and for the firt 15 minutes the tech kept thinking I was talking about an indicator light above the keboard. I finally got him to understand that there are lights behind the keys that should light up the keyboard, he acted surprised and said that these machines are new and they hadn't got a chance to use one yet. I asked him if he had ever seen or heard of ANY computer that had a backlit keyboard and he said no! This was the very first time he had ever heard of a keyboard that lights up! Man oh Man! I finally was transferred to level II tech support who sent a replacement keyboard that I replaced myself rather than having a tech mess with it. I literally couldn't help but to laugh out loud when the guy said he hadn't heard of a backlit keyboard before.

If you are a computer tech suppot guy you should know what a backlit keyboard is...period. Even more so if you are selling a machine with one - or several machines as dell has MANY laptops that have backlit keyboards. I can't believe you are defending this guy.

He's simply doing his job. Customers where calling into tech support asking how, so he made a blog post explaining in details. It isn't his fault some customers could not figure it out.
