I recently purchased a Precision M6800 (probably one of the last :) ) and now want to add an external slice-type battery. I did some searches on DELL web sites (my local Belgium one and some international ones) and on the www. This search resulted in several product codes for what appears to be the same product: 451-11831 / 451-BBGJ / 312-1351. Can anyone tell me if those are indeed all the same product, or at least compatible products ? And more importantly: is any of those (or all 3) really the slice-type battery I am looking for to attach to the docking connector of my M6800 ?

    Thanks for your input.
Unfortunately, these references are linked to yet another product code: 312-1242
Only adds to my confusion :vbconfused:
The compatibility list of this particular one doesn't explicitly mention the M6800, so it might just be a somewhat older version of (again ? ) the same product.

Don't worry ... I'll keep searching and will find the right one someday soon ...

I can't find a picture of the bottom of the M6800, but one thing to watch for on some of the newer models is if the docking connector is all the way at the very back of the machine, the battery slice should still work electrically, but it will protrude past the back of the machine.

M6800 has the dock connector in the regular position, not at the back. As far as I know, the battery slice should work.
