Is anyone able to tell me the difference between the standard m6700 & the covet edition with the red lid? Thanks Amanda

The covet edition was delivered with a touch screen and 10-bit IPS-panel.

I believe the covet has edge-to-edge glass covering the screen while the standard version has a more typical plastic bezel around the screen.

The Covet came preloaded with things that were optional on the Vanilla M6700 like the IPS display mentioned, the edge to edge gorilla glass. I'm not too sure about the touch part though. Also, the Covet comes in red rather than the brown/bronze color of the regular M6700.

The Gorilla Glass adds glare, but if you are gonna show things to people and some of them have a tendency to touch your display, you may want to go for that. People touching my laptop display always drives me nuts. It's a don't go putting your greasy fingers on my display and don't damage it kind of thing. Some people just aren't careful.

Thanks not bothered about touch but edge to edge IPS is more my cup of tea. Gorilla glass edge to edge is very nice and I love the red top and bottom.
