    Hello all.
Recently sold my Alienware to purchase this machine.
I intend to use it for intensive gaming.

What steps do I take to change the M8900 to a HD6970m?
Im aware it involves flashing using a certain Bios but would appreciate instructions on how to do so.

I obtained the i5 due to its high core speed for emulation and Cpu intensive tasks.
Afterwards I then plan on overclocking the Gpu to the utmost limit as Ive heard it can have performance greater than that of a stock HD6990m

Just install the catalyst drivers instead of the firepro drivers. Job done.

when I had mine, I used Ati tray tools as it allowed overclocking and overvolting. I managed to get a hefty overclock out of it and it played any game I threw at it. I only changed for a 670m as I wanted optimus

You don't have to flash the vbios with dell's 6970m version first?
