Wonder does anyone have the Wireless 5530 HSPA module in the (latest) Latitudes? Is it locked only to AT&T or SIM cards from other providers supporting HSPA can work as well?

Is it possible to control the WWAN radio on/off via software and not the wireless switch (like leave WiFi and BT on, but turn off WWAN completely).

You can set up the switch to control any number of radio interfaces in bios, so yes.

I bought a E series with 5530 WWAN card without a contract (in the UK where Dell push Vodafone 3G contracts) and I'm able to use it with Orange and T-Mobile 3G USIM cards.

    It's not locked.

    I'm using it in Singapore.
