Well I just bought a new Vostro 3560 running Windows 7 Professional and I went into the BIOS to check the boot order and there's no "boot from USB" option!

This is the first time I've run into that. I thought every computer had this since the trend is to move away from CD/DVD ROMs towards USB. I have the latest A13 BIOS from Dell's website.

Does anybody have anymore information about this?

I have the Vostro 3460 which is the 14" sibling of the 3560. To boot from usb I have to select "USB storage Device" after pressing F12. This option is only visible if a usb drive is plugged in.

I have never been able to boot a ubuntu live usb from on my Vostro 3460. Windows usb drives don't seem to work correctly either.
