    Hi

I have a dell vostro 1400 with XP installed.
Recently I wanted to boot it from an USB sata HDD.
I have set the boot sequence in Bios but I cannot find any option in BIOS to disable the internal HDD .Please help me out for it. How can I disable my internal HDD from BIOS else then unscrew it.

    Thanks in advance.

Disable it from the boot order or disable it totally? I dont think you can disable it totally.

I disabled it from the boot menu. But the usb boot is not taking place. The system gets restarted again. But despite of disabling the internal hdd from the boot sequence I can see it in the boot menu. I want to permantly disable it.
Is there any option or a clue "The USB SATA HDD boot".
Please let me know. Its very urgent .

    Thanks for the support

It is fine if it's still in the boot menu, you just want to move it down in the sequence.
