dell vostro 1400 motherboard name

    hi who makes the motherboard for dell vostro 1400?

    intel, gm965/pm965 to be precise. gm965 if you have integrated video card and pm965 if not, although sometimes you can have gm965 too if you have discrete video card.

    well i have a 8400m gs so does that make it gm965?

    most likely a pm965. discrete video card = separate video card. if they ran out of pm965, they can install it into a gm965, but of course these cost more than the pm965 so dell try to do this as least as possible.

    Intel makes the chipset that Enduct is talking about, but probably not the motherboard like geohunter309 seemed to have asked. I'm not sure what he was asking now though; he didn't seem to correct you, Enduct.

    The best I could find about the motherboard is that it is model number 0TT347 according to CPU-Z. The manufacturer says Dell Inc. but I know they don't actually make the boards.

    Foxconn make the casing and boards for the Vostro 1700 so I'd put my money on them.

    Use CPU-Z and google for the string which comes up.
