Dell Vostro 1014 startup With Blank Screen

    I have some issues with my dell vostro 1014...

    1) screen goes black On Startup. but when I connect it to external monitor there is display ok... & laptop working fine.

    2) if i start laptop.. then after some time (After windows xp load) laptop display come back on but right hand side it is show black vertical line about 1 Inch.

    3) From starting time numlock Key and down arrow key LED blinking continually. and capslock LED stable.

    4)when i connect external monitor and checking bios settings there it is show in system information.
    UNKNOWN DISPLAY INSTALLED

    I have check removing RAM... HDD.. BATTERY...
    But problem is same:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:


    So Please anyone help me....:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Seeing as it works fine on an external display, it seems like you have a problem with your display? Try to reseat all the display cables, and if that doesn't do it, you might have to get a new panel or something.
