Dell Precision M70 HELP!

Okay, so I just bought a new laptop. Its a Dell Precision M70. We used to have pretty much the same model, but it was slightly smaller. We took the old hard drive and had it installed in this laptop, so maybe that plays a part in it, but all of the icons, the start icon, the font, the popups, the internet explorer screenm everything! are really small. Its really difficult to see so how do I fix this?

P.S the whole go to computer and display and then make the icons bigger thing doesn't work.

 

Go into display/setting's/advanced,and bump up the DPI from 96 to 120 or a custom dpi higher than 120 if you still have trouble.
I'm presuming it's a WUXGA screen?
Nice notebook,I really liked the one I had.
