    Hi
I just bought Precision M6800 replacing my old good M6500.

I need to install Windows XP (dual boot) on M6800, but could not find drivers for XP on Dell support site.

Does anyone have experience with installing Windows XP on M6800?
    Best Regards, Alon

For those who are curious, I am supporting a legacy software (MSVC6 + DX7) which requires XP environment

A quick look on Dell's website doesn't show any drivers for Windows XP so you might face some problems there... I would give it a shot but I don't think you'll be able to, aside maybe from resorting to generic drivers for the components which aren't detected... Have you tried checking if your legacy software works on Windows 7/8 ?

I'd recommend using a VM like XP Mode, as baii suggests. Or VMware Worskstation (my preferance). Then you won't have to search for XP drivers for the guest OS.
