    Thanks. Did you have to modify the cooler? It had to be modified for 980M and 970M cards due to moved voltage regulator chips.

    Do not need to modify the cooler;
    My M6700 cooler is the use of the original K4000M, after the GTX680M, GTX780M, until the M5000M, are normal use.
    不需要修改冷却器;
    我的M6700的冷却器是原厂K4000M使用的,历经了GTX680M、GTX780M,直到这个M5000M,都正常使用。

    Ah I didn't realize that you were talking about M5000M and not K5000M. Good to hear that it works fine. I might upgrade mine at some point if I find a good deal ever.

    Well, I wish you good luck!
    Note that: the VBIOS version of the M5000M is different, the results are also different;
    My M5000M can only work under Windows 8,8.1 and 10;
    Windows 7 is unable to support the use of.

    Yeah, I have the K4000M as well, but I've seen that it needs to be modified if you want to install the Maxwell 970M or 980M cards as instead of two voltage regulator chips, the PCB now supports three so their positions have been moved to the right and the heatsink protrusion for those smaller chips in between now can't fit unless a part of it is cut off.

    But, as far as I can see, the card has the same PCB as 980M as expected so I wonder how did it fit your heatsink?

    Just to note that personally I didn't see what the Dell K4000M heatsink looks like, but some people upgraded their M6700 to Maxwell cards and IIRC had to mod their Kepler heatsinks.

    ==========================
    My 6700 did not use GTX970m and GTX980m;

    Only used K4000M, GTX680M and GTX780M, as well as the latest M5000M----- four graphics cards are used in the same cooler------This is the first official M6700 cooler using K4000M.

    Here is the picture of the GTX780M and M5000M I use
    (blue PCB is GTX780M, the green PCB is M5000M):
