Dell Precision battery charging problem

    I didn't power on the laptop for almost 2 years. Now, when I power it on, the battery charging light blinks yellow, but the battery does not seem to charge. I cannot boot solely on battery. Normal plugged in bootup works.

    Is there a fix? Is the battery fried?
