I have been looking out for info on this model don't think anyone has received one yet. I have already decided and will be placing my order shortly. I am buying from the UK and the price with minimal disks and only 8GB ram is coming to £3,650 so the price is very high indeed but there is no real competitor (i.e. 1535m, 64GB ram) other than the think pad junk.

The new fujitsu celsius seems superb and an excellent alternative to the 7720. Shame I can't find e a 15 inch model.

I have ordered a fairly well tricked-out one but have been waiting to see some reviews - as stated above I don't believe they have made it into the wild yet. I believe the keyboard lacks Home and End keys which is a shame, but I can re-map the Rewind and Fast Forward keys to those so not the end of the world. At least it has proper function keys!

I don't know when I'm going to receive it though - the order was cancelled by Dell for some reason, then the sales fella who I ordered it through promised me on Friday that it would be delivered next Wednesday - but I don't think I believe that. We'll see...

Yes, the keyboard is identical to the Precision 7510/7710 so you can look at photos of those to see the keyboard layout. In fact the entire system is pretty much the same except for refreshed CPUs and GPUs, so you could even look at 7510/7710 reviews as a starting point until 7520/7720 systems start making it into the wild.

Does anyone know what the exact weight of the Precision 7520 is? I don't know if I really believe the spec listed on Dells site. I have the Latitude 5580 currently, and it's just over 4 something lbs... and it's the same chasis size. I can see an extra pound or so if using more metal, but not 2++ lbs of difference. Anyone have the precision and a scale laying around? Not sure if Dell tossed in the bricks weight in together w/ their listed spec on the weight.

If, as suggested above, the 7520 has very similar build to the 7510 then notebookcheck weighed a 7510 as 2.74kg (6.04lb in old money). I believe that notebookcheck actually weigh their notebooks unlike some reviewers who quote the manufacturers' specs (and note that Dell usually gives this as "starting from" which usually assumes no options).
