    Hello,
I'd like to use the feature to lock my notebook in a way that I have to swipe my finger before it even allows you to boot/go to BIOS, however whenever I select Dell Preboot Manager in Embassy Trust Suite, Vista tells me the application crashed.

I already formatted my HD and reinstalled Vista because of this and the ETS seemed to workd fine for 2 weeks or so but now it's all messed up again, just out of the blue. I tried clearing my TPM, disabling and enabling it again, reinstalling the app but nothing seems to work.

I'm getting desperate. Can anyone help me please?

Just a quick update: by not being able to get to the Preboot Manager, I can't even swipe my fingers to enable secure logon to Vista. That seriously cripples the whole 'security' feature of the software... :-(

Any updates on this? I seem to have the same issue on a brand new Latitude E6500. I've tried to use both Windows Vista x64 and x86 to no avail.

It seems the problem is actually in the program "Universal enrollment wizard" which crashes the moment you try to enter the bios password.

This only happens in Vista though...the application works fine under XP (32-bit)
