Hi, everyone. I am new to here. I have one question regarding the warranty associated with the outlet products. I have just bought a E6400 from dell outlet in UK. The acknowledgement letter I received said that the warranty is 3 year Basic Warranty-Next Business Day. But on their main site, E6400 was sold with 3 year ProSupport NBD on-site service as standard. I thought the outlet products should carry the same warranty as per new system which meant that mine E6400 should have ProSupport service as well. Has anyone had experience in this issue? Should I call them? Advice please. Thanks in advance.

For what it's worth, in the US that is the basic warranty, the ProSupport costs extra.

I guess in UK, it is different. Every E6400 has ProSupport. You do not need to pay any extra for this. Therefore, I infer that this warranty should be considered as a "standard feature" and given to outlet products as well. Anyone else had similar experience?

I've only bought one system through the outlet (in the US) and when I did it defaulted to a 1 year mail-in basic warranty. I was then given the option to upgrade to a longer, on-site, or prosupport contract.

Anyone from UK? I may probably call them tomorrow morning. Give me some ideas before calling.

Was it a consumer or business notebook? Also I guess it depends on which business because I believe the Vostros and the cheaper Latitude E series only come standard with one year now.

I've bought two notebooks from Dell Outlet. An XPS M140 and Latitude D630. The M140 came with the standard one year mail-in warranty. The Latitude D630 came with a three-year mail-in warranty.

It was a Latitude D630 ATG. The system was purchased about 2 months ago.
