    are the dell notebooks made in ireland yet ?

    dell was moved to poland ,not?

    My M6300 Replacment for a M60 deliverd in November 2007 was build or assembled in Ireland. My M6400 deliverd March 2009 was also build or assembled in Ireland

    It depends where you buy. Both the Ireland and Poland facilities are operating. If you buy a Dell laptop in the US, Asia, or Australia, it will be made in Malaysia. If bought in South America, in Brazil. The Ireland facility serves western Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Poland, apparently, makes computers for eastern Europe and Scandinavia.

    All according to Dell's site...

    Weird. I have a friend in France that just bought an E6500 that was made in Ireland. I know that they're "shifting" production, but I can't find anywhere that explicitly says that they've shut the production down altogether...

    I did not know that; Dell's site makes no mention of that.
