Dell M6700 + GTX780M + Windows 8.1 Pro here (upgrade Ok !)

Just a topic to say GTX780M on M6700 on Windows 8.1 is possible, i have just do it and with Optimus Ok



Update :

The GTX780M and the GTX680M is not fully compatible with 3 or more display. I have 3 external display + LCD with the dock and i have many freeze of the driver but with 2 display (external or one internal and one external or just internal), i have no problem. So this is not compatible for 3 or more display (it is functionnaly but with lot of freeze and restart and bug).

So if you going to have dock or more display don't update your M6700 (or other) because it's not fully compatible. If you use internal or just another screen, it have no problem.

I think hardware of M6700 not compatible with the 4 display possibility but with optimus + quadro yes.

So for me i have to pull out and search a k5000M :/

Ths looks good =) Don't hesitate to post some benchmarks with some temps monitoring !

 

For temps : (i have 3 monitors with two on Nvidia and 1 one HD graphics) So temp are less with laptop display alone.



Ps : i donwload 3Dmark 13 because 11 isn't compatible to windows 8.1 i think.

 

Bug with optimus or driver or both.

Frequencly of 780M is 135/162 Mhz all the time !

I have to test with other driver and without optimus for test

 

Update :

I have resolve the probleme with optimus + frequency so i have the full power of the card.

But after dissasembly(another) i have temp problem (50°c idle) and more than 70/80 ° at juste normal frequency .... So i dessassembly another times and check what is the problem !


I can share driver how have functionally for me to have optimus on win 8.1 Pro and modifier driver. ( 331.58 Nvidia i have mod (last) and last driver HD graphics for intel)
