Anyone that has or owned a M4800 know with the integrated gpu enabled and yes for a FHD panel, is the GPU still accessible by the system for GPU computations ??? This would be Windows or Linux (or BSD if you know)

Yes, the system supports graphics switching / NVIDIA Optimus, which can be configured to be on or off in the BIOS. If it is on, the Intel GPU drives the internal display and the NVIDIA GPU can be called upon to do rendering or computations. If Optimus is disabled, the NVIDIA GPU handles everything and the Intel GPU is disabled.

Pretty sure the situation is the same for both. However, if you have anything higher than FHD for the display, Optimus / graphics switching cannot be enabled.

Yea thats why I was asking trying to get more clarity on this I would like a newer revised board (without the QM87 revC1 chipset) but I think those are all edp. Yet dell's answer on this "http://www.dell.com/support/Article/us/en/04/627037/EN" suggest anything using edp even with fhd panel would be a no go
