    Hello all :)

    I have a Dell M4700, 2xSSD, 1x HDD, 32GB RAM, i7-3740qm. Windows 8.1.

I recently changed the Quadro K1000m to a FirePro M5100.

I used Display Driver Uninstaller from Guru3D to uninstall the NVidia Drivers, installed the AMD, installed the newest drivers from 17 Q3.

The card works well and I would have left it this way, but:
With the NVidia card I was able to put the laptop into sleep mode (S3 I believe ?). It woke up normally.
With the AMD card I get a black screen of death when waking up. Nothing works, no num-key or caps-lock LED lights up when I press these buttons.

I already tried older drivers, but nothing. Black screen always. The only thing I can do is to disable S3 sleep in BIOS, but I would like to have that. Bios is in Legacy mode, no secure boot, Optimus was disabled even with Nvidia, now I do not see a switchable graphics anymore in BIOS.

Because everything works well I would have left it that way, but I really would like to have Sleep.
Because of that I did not reinstall Windows, it is the only thing left, but I thought I could avoid that.
Could you help me getting sleep back?

    €dit: Latest Bios

€dit2: Hibernate works, but also takes 32 gb SSD

So, currently I am using only hibernate, and no Suspend to RAM.

Does anybody have suggestions, why this is?
I already tried a few different drivers, always the same.

I simply changed the card, with new heat paste.
It is now running for months, including gaming, no problems, except this suspend thing.

I know this is an old post, but I'm having the exact same problem. I own a M4700 as well, tried to upgrade from FirePro M400 to M5100, black screen on laptop and when connected to a monitor, still a black screen. Have you found any solution or does the M5100 simply not work with our laptops?
