Try Nvidia drivers form Nvidia.com (I think they are more recent).
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_winvista_win7_x64_186.81_whql.html

Use the Nvidia Control Panel, to enable your secondary display (your TV).
Within that panel you should have several options that you can play to try to get to work.

We also have to assume that your adapter might be broken (manufacture problem?)

    Thank you for reply.

On nVidia Panel I dont see the second display.

I try the nVidia driver. If this dosen't work I try to get a new one.

In the Nvidia Control Panel, go under "Display" > "Setup multiple Display" section. There is a link called "My display is not shown...", right under the white box. Click on it, and see if it helps.

Also, remember that your TV must be turned on, and the right input mode is selected, else the input may be detected.

Yep - on an m6400. I needed to click on "detect displays" button in the nvidia multi-monitor settings to find it .

I use the VGA output though as the displayport output is posterized on my monitor (looks like its using 16bit, not 24bit it is set to).

    Paul.
