I purchased the Dell Latitude E6400 and was supposed to receive the WXGA+ 1400x900 LED screen. Under my device monitor hardware id it displays Cmo1436. Is this the correct LED screen or rather an LCD?

All the WXGA+ displays for the E6400 use LED backlighting.

One possible test is to turn the backlight to minimum and see if you notice any flicker as discussed here. However, I don't know if all the different sources of display are affected by this problem.
