    Hello,

I have a Dell latitude E6330 laptop, could you please advise how can i turn on keyboard lighting?
i have tried with fn+right arrow, but it doesn't work. I have also tried with windows mobility center, but there is nothing about keyboard light.

    Hi,

The key combination (Fn + Right arrow), that you tried is the right way to enable / disable the ‘Backlit’ feature. The ‘Backlit Keyboard’ function on the Latitude E6330, is optional and it will only be available if you have specifically asked for it at the time of purchase. I’d suggest you please check the order details of this system and confirm if it was ordered with the ‘Backlit Keyboard’. This will help us to proceed further and troubleshoot the issue.

I hope this information helps. Please do write back in case you need any further assistance.

    Thanks & Regards
    Swapnajan MC

Also a lot of Dell machines have the connector even on the no backlit machines so that you can install a backlit keyboard. Keyboad runs about $30-50. if you want to know if your laptop supports it, go to support.dell.com and go to the manuls section and find your machine and look under the install remove keyboard section

If the Dell model can be ordered with a back lit keyboard as an option, then you can reference the tech manual to install it on your machine once you buy the backlit keyboard. the connector is already there for the backlighting. Typical dell keyboard has 2 cables, one for the keys and one small skinny one for the backlight.
