Dell Latitude E4300 Second Hard Disk

Is it possible to install a second hard disk in E4300?

Earlier the option used to be available whilst configuring the E4300 online to add a second 1.8inch hard disk. Now it is no longer there. Can the same be ordered through a Dell rep? What exactly is it that comes when you order this?

I will be grateful if someone can share this info. This will be the deal maker/breaker for me on the E4300.

Seems to be a fake to me as the E4300 has no need for a latch, the holding mechanism being a screw. Can someone throw some light on it?

 

You need to get this silly optical-drive shaped caddy in which you can install the 1.8" drive. Apparently if you can't find this silly caddy or if you don't want to be stuck with 1.8" drives, Lenovo caddies will also work, as depicted in this thread:

so it seems the t400 caddy will work for e4300 also? it's just hard to find one saying it's compatible for e4300 on ebay
