    Hello,

    1. HDD / SSD

there is no possibility to put another Harddrive in the E4200. The SSD inside is bulk, without a cover. You can not change the HDD like you want.
    look here:

    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/late4200/en/sm/ssd.htm#wp1179991

64 GB is enough for office, you have an e-sata connection, so you can easily plug in an external hdd to the BUS.

    2. Confgi E4200:

An Akku is a battery. (shivang) -> 5300 is recommendable. Please buy Dell RAM. It is tested and it is working very good and you have NBD Guarantee also for the RAM.

    3. CPU 1.4

There is only one problem: If you want to use Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 you need 1.6 Ghz. I heard, that somebody had problems with installing.
For the normal doing, the CPU is great and fast.

Comparing the SU9xxx to the P9xxxx there is "only" a different Voltage. the reactions of both are realy fast, but the calculation power of the P Series is much more.

Just give it a time. I saw 2GB DDR3 at a local store but not the 4GB yet.

Dell upgrade parts aren't exactly known for a good price. US price for 4GB DDR3 is $649.99 regular right now.

There is some info on the HDD on the first page of this thread. You may want to take a look, it has a screenshot that may give you an idea.

I have had the E4200 in daily usage now for 3 months. Pretty much everything except the new fast SSD (128 MLC so far runs without problems) its mostly a disappointment - at least under Vista 32. One of the biggest problems I have may or may not be E4200 specific though: the wireless is very unreliable, often takes minutes or more ot connect (although all networks/routers are immediately recognized with excellent strength). I often have to try more than 10 times to get a connection - all most recent vista and E4200 updates installed. The wireless network is fine - all other devices and computers have no problem. Does anybody have a similar experience with the E4200 - as at least in my case this is currently E4200-specific.

I have seen this problem on my friend's xps m1330 on my network and I just got a new E4300 and am having the problem myself (both on Vista and I have the intel 5300 chip). It may be because the system comes installed with 3 connections programs installed (vista connection manager, dell control point connection manager, and intel pro/set wireless). The three programs may be conflicting. I am going to do a clean install of Vista anyways so i'll let you know if that fixes the problem. I am going to try uninstalling the dell connection manager to see if that helps first.
