I think that's all I needed to know, except I'm still curious about the DVD-RW drive. :)
However, when I had my e1705 and the drive failed, I just called dell and they shipped out a replacement the next day, so if it has any problems (like others are reporting), it shouldn't be too hard to get a replacement. :)

I was wondering the same thing about the 64bit Vista... I ordered mine with Vista Business and the XP downgrade, but I wanted 64bit, but it wasn't an option for me when I was ordering, and I didn't want to lose the price that I had running, so I pulled the trigger. But I would prefer the Vista 64, so what is the best approach for me with Dell on this...

I would really like to do a dual boot, so I can compare side by side...
    Thanks

Sounds like this may vary by country, in the UK the sales rep specifically told me that with the downgrade option, the machine would come installed with XP, but would only have Vista media supplied, no XP media.

Just got off the phone with Dell, and a great Serv. Rep, I told him I wanted Vista 64 with XP downgrade, as it wasn't an option on the website to order, He Said the best way to get both media's is to get Vista 64 Installed and call Dell after I received my machine with the MS product key # and have them send out the XP-Pro disk. I had him change my order, and he also expedited my order to ship out the 17th instead of the 29th...
That way you have both media's on disks...

    Hope this helps
