There is a discussion about it here:

I had the same problem with finding information. That thread is the only thing going that I could find. I am starting to think that as a lower-end, non-sexy business laptop review sites aren't exactly lining up to do a review. At any rate, I ended up getting one about a week ago (the higher end of the two models offered, with the full hd screen and amd graphics card ). My primary use is for work (web dev), with some gaming on the side. So far I'm pretty happy with it. The build quality is great. It's thin and light, but feels pretty solid. The screen is nice (matte). Performance is decent, though I think I may put another 4gb of ram into it down the line. Battery life is good, about 5-6 hours maybe with the wifi on, though that's not using the discrete graphics. The only thing I'm not totally sold on is the keyboard. The keys have a bit of a texture on them that causes my fingers to slip on them a little bit. I think I'm slowly getting used to it though. My last laptop was a thinkpad t61p, which was dreamy to type on, and I think I'm a bit spoiled from it :) If you have any specific questions feel free to ask.

It goes quite bright and doesn't look washed out. I'm not a photographer or anything so I can't really comment on the color accuracy, but the generic wilderness wallpapers that come with windows 7 look nice and vibrant on it. I also work some of my day under fluorescent lighting, and have no problems with it whatsoever. Nice and matte and bright :) The few games I've tried on it (Torchlight 2, Mark of the Ninja, Witcher 2) all looked great as well.

I'm curious about the keyboard. Is it a chicklet keyboard? I'm currently using an E6420 and really like the keyboard, but I can't really tell from the photos if the 3540 is the same or not. I used a lenovo u410 for a couple of weeks recently and really didn't like it's chicklets much.

I can't find much info, but I'm assuming that the new Latitude 3000's are an update of the old Vostro 3000's?
