My wife liked her old acer one but wanted one with touchscreen and a bit more durable, which I think the Latitude 2100 will do. She might need one for road trips and greatly prefers something with a good keyboard, webcam for skype, emails etc. It's rather old but the prices seem low, does anyone have any past experience or opinions of it, actual battery time, speed, max ram. I've seen a few on the used market but how to do we get one with touch screen (are they glossy, is there an anti glare matte screen with touch capability, does the bezel look differently). Is there a much better netbook option?

GMA 950 era atom: STAY AWAY!

If she wants something small, she'll be better off with a Latitude E7250. In a sense, you do get what you pay for. Posting in WNSIB section may not be a bad idea. A Bay Trail atom tablet would be a decent option although finding one with a laptop style keyboard dock restricts your options a bit.
