My 2 dell laptops each have a thin keycard slot in them.
I have a few questions about them.

    1st-What exactly are these for?
    2nd-Where do I get a keycard?
3rd-Is there anything else I should know about a keycard?

Thanks in advance if anyone can educated me on this.
I have googled it but haven't been able to find answers(I'm not to good at googlin');)

The slots are for talking to a ISO smartcard, though certain cards may need extra PC/SC provider software.

On my D800 I've talked to phone SIM cards (sellotaped back into their large carrier) and bank cards.

You can get cards to store credentials for loggin into windows with.
