Dell from recycler, service tag showing no warranty info or configuration

    I'm thinking about buying a Dell from an ewaste, liqudator recycler that sells bulk quantity machines. With the service tag provided both info is blank, the warranty and configuration. I've run into this with two recyclers. Wondering what the info is on these.

    I called Dell support and the person I talked to was a little hard to understand and said I could extend the warranty and his explanation was that it's a null service tag or something like that.
