I have been eyeing this beast for some time now.

I don't have a true functional need for a ruggedized system, but I must say XFRs look pretty badaxx. Being an extreme anti-Macbook design person, the brute industrial design appeals to me.

Anyways, I figured out the weight and the dimension, which will serve me properly in my bag pack. I'm a student but I rarely carry textbooks to classes (and they are light) so I can afford to carry the weight.

I guess I wanted some feedback from actual XFR users. I know you all are very rare and all, but I can put all together for $400ish. And yes the ATG serves me very well so I am trying to somehow justify the pulling of the trigger.

    Thanks.

Personally if I didn't have a need for a rugged laptop, I would definitely not pay extra for the added bulk.

That being said, it seems like you understand that you are getting it mostly for kicks... in which case if you want it, get it :)

ATG is totally fine if you snap in a SSD. The semi ruggedized screen is really hardy.

I'm like 95% there for the XFR, just need last 5% of convincing haha
