I am used to play music in WinAmp. But now under Windows Vista, when it's playing, the music's scratching and have little pauses. Everything is OK using Windows Media Player. I tried to uninstall the driver and install the latest update of IDT driver. I also tried to disable the enhancements in vista speakers properties, but it is still the same. In Advance tab both checkboxes are checked in Exclusive Mode panel. Anybody can help me, i don't want to use WM:(

EDIT: when i uninstalled directsound plugin in winamp, everything works fine, but the question is, what is wrong with DirectSound?

The usual audio problem with the E series is discussed in this thread. It seems to have been fixed by a combination of the latest (8.8) Intel matrix storage driver and the latest driver for the Dell (if that is what you have) wireless card.

It would be worthwhile checking both of those, but I won't try to figure out how they might step on DirectSound's toes.

Glad it worked then. Also make sure you have the latest drivers.
