Dell E6400 forgetting Dual View settings

Has anyone had a problem where their dual view settings are being forgotten when the laptop is undocked, taken home and used without external monitor, brought into work and re-docked with incorrect dual view settings?

I have a dozen of these laptops but only one user experiencing this issue. I have updated the video driver to the latest available on the Dell web site, but this doesn't seem to have fixed the issue
