the writers clearly mentions an annoying noise (30 db) while the laptop is idle. it's not clear if it's only the fan that is making it.

""This sound is very annoying, distracting, does not allow for concentration and raises concerns about the condition of the laptop.Unfortunately, I do not think that was the only flaw of the UUT.""

another user i've talked to said that there's an annoying coil whine from the processor. apparently it's louder when the processor is under load (100% cpu).

Heard of the coil whine thing. But it seems only the i5 6440hq is prone to that. I just recieved an i5 6300u and it is dead silent in operation

There is a video in youtube that demonstrates the coil whine.

quotes from someone that has the e5570:

"I have the i7-6820HQ version with intel HD530 and an extra AMD R7 M370 card... the coil whine
It was worse at first but it's way better now and I do not notice it unless I really stress the system...

No it pitches when you do something.
So if cpu load go's up the whine gets up/louder. For example when you scroll.
Currently I have 8Gb ram, and 4 Vm's running.> RAM is 100% in use, powershell script editing of 2500+ rules. When I do test runs I hear it as the processor needs to calculate a lot".
