    Hi guys,

I was wondering if anyone has tried using the Dell 45W power adapter with their E4300. If so, does it work?

It would be handy to carry the 45W one around instead of the 65W one assuming that it works.

    Thanks in advance, guys.

It'll probably work, but the CPU might run at a slower speed. When I put a 65W adapter on my M70 (which is supposed to use 90W), the CPU steps down to 800MHz.

Opps LOL, Sorry did not notice he wanted to know the difference in weight.

I have both the 90w and the 65w and there both the same size and weight. I do not have a 45w so I do not know if its any smaller or lighter.

The PSU specifications relevant to the E6400 are included in the Setup and Quick Reference Guide. Perhaps the same applies to the E4300.

Going in a slightly different direction, would the 65W auto / AC / air adaptor be worth considering? It's quite slim.
