Hi, I have a lot of stability issues with Factory Vista x64 installation, I will try to install from scratch Windows XP x64 and Windows Vista x64, I am not very familiar with Dell Notebooks (ex Lenovo guy), please could you tell me where I can find the correct installation sequence for all the drivers and tools?, I did some tests already, but I was not able to successfully install Dell Control Point, I got and error in the middle of the installation, I think I am doing something wrong, also I have installed the driver for UWB, but I do not find the tool to setup the Wireless USB hub???, please any help is welcome, thanks a lot

For what I can recall from my previous Dell notebook, install your chipset driver/software (AMD/Intel) first and then install the Dell Notebook System Software. Then you can install the rest (network, sound, video card, Dell software, etc.).

search for driver installation on the Dell site, there you get the full order in which to install them. I only have the link to a dutch site so that won't help much i think

the new precision and latitude systems are very very sensitive to the order the drivers are installed in. best to verify with tech support before proceeding.

even the product managers mentioned to me that its the first systems they've seen with this level of "strictness" for order of driver installation

the LCD has got worse, now its randomly blinking on and off, and also occasionally the screen "smudges" for a split second then goes back to normal. i dont know if its the gfx card or the lcd cable..and its still running hot. :(
