I apologize if this has already been covered in another thread...

I've been looking at some of the refurbished Latitude DC510s & DC610s on the Dell Auctions page. A couple things I noticed though:

    1) It specifies that the system comes with a 10/100 NIC. But it doesn't say anything about any wireless NIC. Do these refurbs come without a wireless NIC? Or are they just not mentioning it in the spec section? It just doesn't make sense to me that they would take the wireless NIC out of it when refurbishing the system. I can't see the cost savings in that. Also, if there is no wireless NIC in it, is that something that I can have one of my more tech savy friends put in for me? Or is it something that can't be done?

    2) They don't specify a battery. I have to assume these things DO come with a battery. I can't imagine them NOT coming with one. Am I right?

    3) The systems come with Win XP Pro installed. They mention that the "application software is not included". Does this mean that there is NO recovery/reinstallation disk at all? Or does it just mean that there is no stand alone Win XP Pro CD, and no CD for extra software (like Works)? This worries me because I'd own a legit. copy of XP with no way (that I know of) to recover from any major problems that caused me to format.

I realize these questions might seem sort of basic to most of you, but I'm not exactly what you'd call a tech guy. So sorry if these questions seem sort of stupid.

    Any help would be appreciated.
