I'm curious if anybody else has a 7370 on these forums.

I canceled an order on an XPS 13 last year when I read about the inability to disable Dynamic Brightness Control. Half a year ago, with the Skylake refresh, it seemed as if Dell started removing this "feature" from at least the XPS 15 line, with a patch to flash it out of the XPS 13 QHD models.

Unfortunately it looks like lessons learned were forgotten, as DBC managed to find its way to the Latitude 7370, again, with no apparent way to disable it. I'm curious if anybody has managed to stumble across a setting buried somewhere that turns this off? (I have Adaptive Brightness in the power settings set to off, and power saving features for the display panel disabled from the Intel Graphics properties.)

I have been looking for a highly portable ultrabook with a smart card reader and ~100% sRGB coverage, but unfortunately it looks like this machine may be returning to Dell in lieu of a Thinkpad T460s unless DBC can be disabled.
