Is Quick Set installed? By holding FN and pressing F3, that launches the QuickSet battery meter-a program that shows current battery charge levels and status. (whether it's charged, charging, or discharging) It also shows the current "health" level of the battery.

FN + F1 is the hibernate button. It saves your session to the hard disk, then completely turns off the computer. When you turn on the computer again, you'll be able to work exactly where you left off.

If QuickSet is installed, try updating to the latest version after you uninstall the one you have now. Exactly which Dell laptop are you using, (Latitude D500?)

If you are using the D500, here is the link to the latest version of QuickSet for it. http://support.dell.com/support/dow...1&impid=-1&formatcnt=1&libid=25&fileid=174171

Thanks a lot booboo12. I found a quickset driver for Vostro 500 and it's OK now.
