Is there a way to decipher which manufacturer of monitor or HD is used in a system from the "item number" in the left hand column on my order conformation? I tried to look them up on Dell's site, but the item numbers don't seem to coincide with any Dell part number.

I guess you can call up and ask or just Google: Dell "partnumber"

Try Ebay as well. You would be surprised!

Must be a different coding system different than a regular Part Number as I got no results on any numbers I checked on.

The descriptions are very differently worded that the last system I ordered (same model), and in item description it says "Base,Notebook,Built To Stock,E6530,Mexico/Mexican,FCG21", rather than my previous unit which said "Base,Notebook,Latitude,Configure To Order,E6530". I assume these are comparable or the same thing? Sorry if my OCD is getting the best of me ;-).
