    Hi,
My latitude d800 was working fine and then I turned it on one morning and it completely froze. I held the power button and then tried to turn it on and nothing just the lights came on for 2 sec. I kept trying and It would turn on intermitantly but always freeze within 5 min. sometimes I would get a "module not supported by the D-bay" but I pulled the cdrom and put it back in it would work for a little longer until it froze. If it didn't freeze then it would go to a white screen with Dell and Dell.com at the top then shut off. Now it won't turn on ever. I pulled the RAM and Hard drive and still nothing. I pulled the CPU and it looks fine. I cleaned a bunch of dust outa the fans too.
The lights come on for 2 sec and thats it.
    any suggestions?
    thanks

The light signals indicate the motherboard is probably dead. There isn't much you can do with it, other than get a spare working motherboard from eBay and replace it yourself. Or call in your Dell warranty if you have one.

Check if you are able to boot to Diagnostics, hold the FN button, and press the power button then release the power button, remove the HDD Optical drive, RAM, modem, wireless, and other PCI cards if possible, if that doesnt work replace the motherboard.
